A visit to Kolkata cannot be complete with a day at Park Street and breakfast or tea at Flurys. A 9 decade old restaurant replete with the old world charm and goodness. The English cakes and bakery items are a must as also the rest. Excellent location, service and view of the iconic Park Street from most tables !
Try here and you will go crazy! Try the morning breakfast there! See the bee line queue to get a table there in the morning! Awesome food! Awesome ambience! What a crowd!
Staying at Kolkata without Flurys, I may not think it ! My first birthday cake was from Flurys through the hand of my dearest parents. Then , many changes have came location and environment wise, but quality of food-products and service are till out-standing! It's located at Central Calcutta near Park Street. Environment is very soothing and colorful. Experts are really helpful to select your own choices. You will get here value for money. You will leave the place with smile and great memories. Try pastries, cakes and exotic lunch on weekend @ Flurys!
Still undoubtedly the best bakery of Kolkata. Love the place and love the food. All items are excellent.
One cannot leave Calcutta without brunching at Flurys. Since I couldn't make it to the original outlet on Park Street, I visited their outlet at the airport. And it did not disappoint:) The cappuccino was lovely and so was the staff!
Love the Ham and chicken croissant sandwich. Also tried the baked beans on toast which is also nice. The pastries are very good and old school types. My kids love the place. We always prefer to get there early to avoid the rush.
The restaurant is famous for its breakfast since British times. It's makes you recall the British era, with its English style breakfast. My favourite is baked beans on toast. The breads that they make are very good. My favourite being the milk loaf. Must visit it once to get the feel.
I went there with my husband and kid at 7 am for breakfast and enjoyed a lovely time sitting in one of Kolkata's oldest Brit restaurant. We took the joggers breakfast which was quite a lot and tea and coffee. We enjoyed the magnificent architecture and that feeling of being part of an old era, just to witness a bit of old times. We had parked right in front of flurys which is impossible at any other time of the day.
